Attorneys for Bonner, other House members respond to Rangel suit

Posted by Dan Whisenhunt July 14, 2013

Editor’s note: I live in Georgia, but I’m from Alabama. I married a beautiful Alabama gal, and graduated from the University of Alabama in 2005. I have roots there and care about its future.

Following up on my post from two days ago, I mentioned the lawsuit filed by Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-NY,  that names Rep. Jo Bonner as a defendant.

Today I found the response of Bonner and his co-defendants uploaded to Pacer.gov. The motion seeks to dismiss the complaint on the grounds that federal courts have no jurisdiction over House Ethics Committee proceedings. I’m posting it here so you can read for yourselves.
