Qualifying started Monday for Decatur city elections.

For the city commission, Fred Boykin signed up for run for District 1, Post A, and Patti Garrett for District 2, Post A. They’re both incumbents.

For the city school board, Mark Arnold qualified to run for District 1, Post A, the seat now held by current board chairman Marc Wisniewski, who is not seeking re-election.

Annie P. Caiola is running for the at-large seat being vacated by Valarie Wilson, a former chairwoman of the school board.

Qualifying ends Wednesday afternoon. City elections are Nov. 5.
