As the Decatur Book Festival proved, the town continues to be a stop for big-name authors. There are two more major author events in Decatur this fall.

Garrison Keillor, the author and radio personality on A Prairie Home Companion, will speak and read Oct. 29 at Gaines Chapel at Agnes Scott College.

Author Amy Tan will read Nov. 19 at the same location.

Keillor appeared at Agnes Scott in 2009 to promote a new book and packed the house, so you might have to stand in line. Both events are co-sponsored by the Georgia Center for the Book and are free and open to the public. No reserved seats.
