Repaving Monday Night at W. Trinity and Commerce

Share

The big dip that’s bedeviled Decatur drivers for years will be repaved Monday night.

The intersection of West Trinity Place and Commerce Drive will be repaired, starting at 7 p.m. The work should be finished by Tuesday morning, according to the City of Decatur webpage.

The intersection will be milled and repaved. It will remain open with a police officer on site, but motorists are encouraged to try another route.

A lot of cars have bottomed out at the intersection. Drivers coming up Commerce may forget about the dip and find their cars airborne for a split second.

Decatur Metro reports that the project will cost about $38,000.
