SLIDESHOW: Sunday Scene at Decatur Book Festival
Umbrellas saved the day for the many prepared patrons of the Decatur Book Festival. I was down there helping serve up Chicken Tikka Masala & the trimmings at the Bhojanic tent and I saw a lot of happy people walking around with raindrops on their shoulders and smiles on their faces.
It could have been worse. A representative of the event told us to prepare for strong thunderstorms and a possibility of hail. For a few minutes, it looked like the weather was going to play spoiler. Aside for some rumbling and a few flashes of lightning it was a pretty darn good day to be in Decatur.
I took a few pictures.
