Community links: Former Avondale official accused of impersonating police officer

In one of the more bizarre stories of late, a former Avondale Estates official – who is now the city manager of Stockbridge – is accused of impersonating a police officer. h/t Patch, CBS Atlanta

American Realty Capital is buying up nine assisted living facilities, including Arbor Terrace of Decatur, for $143 million.

A building that handles appeals and claims for the Georgia Department of Veteran Services is closing because of the shutdown, according to AP.
