Christmasy things: Sip some fuzzy navel at the Holiday Marketplace

Posted by Dan Whisenhunt December 13, 2013

MackDanceI reiterate: If you can’t get merry this weekend, you just plain suck at Christmas (or holidays,  if you’re a combatant in the ever-ending War on Christmas. Commie).

One of our local merchants, Mama Bath + Body, invites everyone to the Handmade Holiday Marketplace this Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The store is located at 743 D East College Ave Decatur, GA 30030.

“Sip Mama’s world famous fuzzy navel punch (complimentary, of course) while you shop some of Atlanta’s best designers and artists — just in time to finish your holiday shopping,” the announcement says. “We’ll also be hosting jewelry and candle making workshops and will offer free gift wrapping on all purchases.”

There will be several vendors on hand and some craft workshops, too. To learn more, click here.

Also, a few of reminders:

– The Renaissance Project’s production of “It’s a Wonderful Life” (sure it is!) will be going on this weekend and next weekend. For more information, click here.

– On Dec. 14, the DBA is inviting the public to Breakfast With Santa at the Decatur Courtyard by Marriott. Doors open at 7:30 a.m., Santa arrives at 8 a.m. Breakfast and a photo are included in your ticket, which costs $7 for children and $12 for adults. To purchase tickets, click here.

– There’s a holiday decorating contest going on this weekend. For more details, click here.
