One of Decatur’s landmark buildings is for sale.

Decatur Metro reports that Adams Commercial Real Estate has put the former Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital building in Oakhurst on the market. The sale includes the Solarium, according to Adams Commercial Real Estate.

The real estate firm’s website lists the selling price at $2.1 million. The building has about 22,000 square feet of space and is a mix of office, medical office, event space and restaurant space.

According to the Solarium at Old Scottish Rite website, the buildings went up about a century ago and the staff focused on treating kids with polio. Neel Reid and Hal Hentz were the architects.

The buildings fell into disrepair but were renovated in 2001. The complex on Hill Street is a gathering spot for the Oakhurst neighborhood and is the site of weekly jazz concerts in the spring and fall.
