Video of Britney Spears’ sister singing at Eddie’s Attic goes viral

Posted by Dan Whisenhunt December 12, 2013

It isn’t always true that siblings of famous people posses the same talents as their kin. But Britney Spears didn’t have much talent to begin with, so expectations weren’t that high for her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. The younger Spears exceeded those low expectations this month during a performance at Eddie’s Attic here in Decatur, Ga.

She was performing songs from her new country album when she broke into a rendition of her older sister’s hit, “Oops! I did it again.” Naturally, the internet lost its mind.

The video has 787,154 views on YouTube and the story has been picked up all over the world.

Congrats to the guy holding the camera and to Eddie’s Attic on the worldwide nod in its direction. Good stuff.

Stop with the stupid “Britney Spears didn’t have much talent to begin with”. If she didn’t have any talent than no record label would sign you. Unless you hear her albums or live performances stop saying stuff right outta your ass.

    • Two points here: 1) I have “Hit Me Baby” on my iPod. Great pop song. But that has nothing to do with Britney. She has been fortunate to have great producers. 2) If I didn’t say things outta my ass, I would have to find another line of work. 🙂 I believe we have a difference of opinion on music. Will gladly go to a Spears concert, if you’re buying.

It has to do with Britney actually cause it’s her song and her vocals are there. And while I understand that people can have their difference in music still it doesn’t make it okay to call an artist that you are not a fan of as someone with a lack of talent

        • So no concert, then?

          • Malcolm

really now? I can’t even go to the concert. I live in the middle of europe and I have enough money

          • Well, cheer up. At least you have free healthcare. Can’t say the same for us.
