Suburban Plaza

Good Growth DeKalb is continuing its fight against a Walmart at Suburban Plaza, but a spokesman for Walmart says it’s time for the group to move on.

Atlanta INtown reports that the group has filed an appeal of a judge’s decision to dismiss a lawsuit filed against DeKalb County. The group is also rallying this afternoon, Dec. 13, at the intersection of North Decatur and Medlock Roads near the proposed development, INtown reports.

In a statement emailed to Decaturish,Walmart spokesman Bill Wertz said, “It’s a shame that once again a small group is trying to block a project that offers such clear benefit to so many in the community. Our aim is to bring jobs and more affordable prices to DeKalb County, and it would be unfortunate if our plans are delayed still further.”
