The second suspect wanted in connection with a Dec. 26 shooting on a bike trail in Kirkwood has surrendered peacefully to police.

Atlanta Police announced late this evening that Qutravius Palmer turned himself in. He’s charged with felony murder and armed robbery. Police allege that Palmer and another juvenile suspect killed X’avier Arnold, a U.S. Army reservist and SCAD student, during a robbery attempt. Arnold and two of his friends had stopped on Rogers Street to take pictures of graffiti. One of the suspects allegedly shot Arnold in the head and his friend in the leg. His friend survived his injuries.

The robbers allegedly stole a wallet and an iPhone from the victims.

APD says there will be no further information tonight and the investigation continues.
