If you’re taking MARTA to work today, you might want to get to the train station a little earlier. Atlanta’s transit agency said it won’t be in any hurry, thanks to freezing cold temperatures that have already closed most schools in the metro area.

All trains and some bus routes will be affected.

“MARTA has put a Winter Operations plan into effect to ensure the safety of customers and personnel,” the transit agency announced. “Trains will resume running at normal speeds once temperatures rise to 10 degrees, or higher, which is forecast to occur by approximately 10 a.m. MARTA will begin preparing its bus fleet earlier than normal and all routes will run on a normal weekday schedule. Mobility service for paratransit customers will also be in operation.”
