There’s a busy weekend ahead in Avondale Estates. It’ll be the city’s time to shine.

The RAD Studio Cruise will be Saturday, March 15, from noon to 8 pm. It’s free to attend. It’s a mostly indoor event, so even if it rains you should be able to enjoy it all. There will be a trolley service shuttling attendees to six studios that are part of the Rail Arts District, a series of art studios along the CSX train corridor. The Towne Cinema, which was constructed 1925, will be opened to the public for the first time in years. The Root City Market will be there, too. For more information, click here.

On Sunday, March 16, Avondale Estates will hold its first Farmers Market. The market will become a weekly event held each Sunday through December. It will be held in the parking lot of Little Tree Art Studio and will begin at 9 am and lasts until 1 pm.

There are lots of things going on and plenty to do. Be sure to check it out.
