The Wylde Center’s Sugar Creek Garden will host visitors on Thursday, March 6, as part of Park Pride’s 2014 Parks and Greenspace Conference.

Sugar Creek Garden manager Dara Suchke will lead the tour and sent along a press release that says, “”Participants will be shown an innovative, off-the-grid pump system and will learn about water conservation through active and passive rainwater harvesting; these water harvesting techniques are applicable to home and landscapes of all scales.”

The Sugar Creek Garden is a dedicated green space where volunteers grow vegetables, fruit and to share with the larger community. One of the key pieces of green infrastructure on the tour will be a solar powered water pump. The event begins at 5 pm and registration is $20. If you’re interested in registering, click here.
