Two men wanted forĀ armed robbery in DeKalb County were arrested this morning thanks to an assist from Decatur Police officers.

According to Decatur Police Sgt. Jennifer Ross, at 10 am on Tuesday, police officers responded to the 700 block of South Columbia Drive to help DeKalb County Police officers. The DeKalb officers were looking for a vehicle and two suspects involved in an armed robbery in DeKalb County. Officers found the suspects and the vehicle around Oldfield Road. Both suspects ran from the officers.

Ross said a Decatur officer captured one of the suspects in the woods between the 700 block of South Columbia Drive and Oldfield Road. He also recovered a handgun. DeKalb and Decatur officers chased and caught the other suspect in the 2600 block of Midway Road.

I called the non-emergency CoD police at 10:09 to report suspicious behavior of three guys that had gotten out of the car and put on sweatshirts with hoodies. When they drove off I could see the back windshield of the car had been smashed out. Immediately called CoD Police and very impressed with how fast they responded and found these guys. Moral of the story is when something doesn’t look right call Police!
