The City of Avondale Estates Police Department said that someone was caught on camera stealing money out of a jar from a business on East College Avenue.

Police published their weekly crime reports on July 14 for the reporting week ending July 10.

The incident occurred at the 2700 block of East College.

“Suspect observed on surveillance cameras, incident under investigation,” the report says.

Police reported a few other property crimes:

– There were two commercial burglaries reported in the 50 block of Dartmouth Avenue. A metal box containing cash was reported stolen in one of the incidents. There was nothing stolen in the other burglary, police said.

– Someone stole lawn equipment from a truck at a home on the 1000 block of Clarendon Avenue.
