(CCA) – An expansion of the Kroger on North Decatur Road will be partially complete by August, according to Tomorrow’s News Today.

Half of the store will be complete by the end of August, the other half will be complete by September, 2015.

Tomorrow’s News reported back in September that the Cincinnati-based chain would begin an expansion of the store. The site was at one point home to a Kraft Foods Plant that closed in the 1990s. The Kroger relocated to the site from what is now Patel Plaza. The store is 63,419 square feet, but the expansion will increase the store’s space to 110,000 square feet.

The sales floor space will be about 70 percent of the entire building. When it’s completed, Kroger will have taken over retail spaces on both sides of the store.
