Here are projects in our area that are scheduled for this weekend, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

– There will be downtown, overnight re-striping of several westbound I-20 exit ramps. The projects will occur during the overnight hours from 8 pm to 6 am. Affected ramps include:  Flat Shoals Road, Glenwood Avenue, Capitol Avenue and Windsor Street. Ramps will stay open to traffic, but GDOT says to expect delays. They’ll try to time the work so it won’t interfere with Atlanta Braves traffic.

– Crews will close one right lane from 7 am to 7 pm Saturday and Sunday to install some underground cables.

– GDOT says there will be “intermittent closures” on U.S. 41/State Route 3 near the intersection with State Route 5/Canton Road Connector because of a resurfacing project.
