The city of Avondale Estates is having a citywide yard sale on Sept. 6.

Avondale Estates is inviting residents to clean out their attics and garages for a citywide yard sale, set to take place on Sept. 6.

The event replaces the city’s annual Autumn Attic Sale.

Registration costs $15 and ends on Friday, Aug. 29. Registration fees – cash or check – can be delivered to City Hall, located at 21 North Avondale Plaza.

“The fee includes/provides for the following: advertising on multiple websites and print outlets; an official yard sign to designate participating households; a booklet of yard sale tips; banners at entrances to the City; other signage; and your household pinpointed on a map distributed the morning of the sale,” the notice from the city says.

The sale begins at 8 am and ends at 2 pm.

According to the city, “From 2 to 6 pm after the sale, several nonprofit organizations will come through the City to pick-up any leftover items you wish to donate. Participating households should be ready for their first shoppers by 7:45 am, and should begin clearing off their property by 6 pm.”
