Decatur Schools holding meetings on renovations

City Schools of Decatur is asking for public input on renovations to the city’s high and middle schools.

CSD borrowed $18 million in certificates of participation money, referred to as COPS, to pay for the projects at Decatur High and Renfroe Middle. The School Board recently awarded more than $1 million in contracts for these projects.

The first meeting will be held Aug. 14 at 6:30 pm in the Decatur High Performing Arts Center. There will be another meeting on Aug. 19 at the Renfroe Middle School Library.
