Decatur Police report that on Aug. 2 at 6:59 am, Atlanta Police officers responded to Candler Road south of Chevelle Lane after receiving a  call about an armed robbery.

The victim told officers he was waiting at a bus stop when a vehicle pulled over and one of the occupants asked him for directions. The victim told police that he moved closer to give some directions and a passenger pulled out a silver revolver. The suspect asked for the victim’s wallet and cell phone, which the victim provided. The suspects fled, headed south on Candler Road.

The suspect vehicle was a beige four-door sedan, possibly a Hunyadi Sonata, displaying a partial Georgia tag of “XYZ21”.

The suspects were described as follows:

Suspect #1: Black male with salt and pepper hair in corn rows

Suspect #2: Black male, approximately 30-years-old with a dark complexion

This case may be related to the armed robbery and assault in the 300 block of East College Avenue in Decatur on 08/01/2014.
