If you’re out and about in downtown Decatur today, you may have noticed trucks lined up along Ponce de Leon in front of the old Decatur Courthouse.  There are also crews hauling equipment near the historic building.

Katie Abel with the city’s Community and Economic Development Office tells Decaturish that the production crew is filming for an episode of ABC’s “Resurrection.” According to the show’s synopsis on Internet Movie Database, “The lives of the people of Arcadia, Missouri, are forever changed when their deceased loved ones return.”

A guard said the crew is there for the day. Crew members were directing traffic around the trucks parked on Ponce.

Interesting. You know you can experience the real resurrection daily at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church (slightly west of the courthouse) or on Sunday at any of your friendly Decatur churches. Everyone is welcome and unlike Decatur film locations, there aren’t any mean security guards to shoo you away.
