The Decatur Heights Neighborhood Association wants to remind everyone that there will be a bicycle registration and safety event on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 am to noon.

The event will be held at The Church at Decatur Heights, located at 735 Sycamore Drive. The event is free to the community.

It’s being hosted by the Decatur Police Department, Decatur Active Living and the Decatur Heights Neighborhood Association.

“Register your bike, receive a helmet safety check, and ride the ‘safety course’ to learn bike safety, hand signals and rules of the road,” the announcement says. “Also, Bicycle South staff will be conducting bike checks.┬áIf it rains, we will move from the parking lot to inside of the gym.”
