Decatur Police Sgt. Jennifer Ross said that police received a report about an armed robbery that occurred on Sept. 23.

The victim told police that at 9:30 pm he was walking in the area of East College Avenue and Derrydown Way. A man standing on the corner lifted his shirt, showing a black semiautomatic handgun. The suspect said, “You know what time it is.”

The victim pulled his wallet from his back pocket, showed it to the suspect and handed him $301. The suspect fled south on Derrydown Way.

“The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6’2, weighing 200 pounds, wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, and white shoes,” Ross said.
