The folks from the Decatur Police Department and Decatur Active Living were busy registering and inspecting bikes on Saturday morning.

Kids and their parents pedaled up to the Church at Decatur Heights for the free safety event. The crews from Bicycle South, owned by City Commissioner Fred Boykin, looked the bikes over and inflated tires as needed. There was also a helmet safety check and a bike safety course.

Check it out.
