The case of an Atlanta firefighter shot by an Atlanta Police officer keeps getting stranger.

According to police, at 8 pm on Sept. 7, APD responded to a call of someone pointing a gun at someone else on Clifford Avenue. Officer Kyle Henderson arrived at the scene started investigating. APD said the “situation escalated” and the officer shot the armed person once in the shoulder. The person was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition, APD says

The firefighter is Matthew Ross. He has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and reckless Conduct.  Officers also arrested his wife, Holly Imlach, and have charged her with reckless conduct. Both have been taken to DeKalb County jail.

People who want more information than that are going to have to wait. APD won’t release the report, citing a pending investigation.

“The case is still active and ongoing with no further information to release at this time,” a statement from APD says.
