Wild turkeys patrolling local neighborhood

Renee DeGross Valdes said the residents of living along Derrydown Way at Katie Kerr Drive and Craigie Avenue have seen a  some feathered visitors in recent weeks.

A rafter of wild turkeys has appeared. The neighborhood sees them nearly every day, Valdes said.

“Apparently the mom turkey had babies and they’re sauntering all around,” she said. “They are cute.”
