We are continuing to update and improve the Decaturish Database, something that we hope will become a go-to local resource for our readers.

Our latest addition is designed to help you get a handle on the annexation and new city issue in DeKalb County. Under the Database Index, you’ll find a page for Annexation and New Cities. Our guide includes a link to each city’s annexation plan, information about the proposed new cities of LaVista Hills, Tucker, South DeKalb and Stonecrest, and a list of helpful resources.

Also, we’ve added a link to Database page on our main menu between “D’ish,” the editor’s blog, and “Annexation” which is a category for all of our news articles about New Cities and Annexation.

Everything in the Database is being updated as needed, and we plan to add more sections with summaries of some of the bigger stories affecting our communities, annexation-related and otherwise.

If you appreciate our efforts, please consider becoming a paid subscriber for $6 a month.

We are using this money to pay freelance contributors to help us provide comprehensive, in-depth coverage of our community. It helped to fund this awesome map showing the overlapping boundaries of various annexation plans and new cities. The money is put to good use.

If you have any suggestions about how to make the Database a better resource for you, email us at editor@decaturish.com
