If the proposed cities of Briarcliff and Lakeside had a baby, what would they name it?

It’s been one of the sticking points since the supporters of the proposed cities of Lakeside and Briarcliff announced they were working together on a new map. The cityhood maps need to be presented to the DeKalb legislative delegation by Nov. 15.

So what will this new city be called?

A new survey from LakesideYES offers a few suggestions

Have you considered …

LaVista, Georgia
Briarton, Georgia
LaVista Hills, Georgia
Briarlake, Georgia
Briar Vista, Georgia

You can also offer up your own suggestion.

For instance, state Rep. Mary Margaret Oliver, D-Decatur, often refers to the proposed new city as “Briarpatch.”
