Now that Christmas is past, the cleanup begins.

Keep DeKalb Beautiful is sponsoring free curbside tree pickup for county residents starting today, Dec. 26, through Jan. 16.

“To participate, residents must remove all decorations from trees and place them curbside on their regularly-scheduled recycling day,” the notice from the county says. “Trees lengths must be 7 feet or less, and trees that cannot be cut down to the appropriate size may be taken to Seminole Landfill or collected by special collections (fees may apply).”

The trees will be turned into mulch.
