The Peach Drop

Where? Underground Atlanta

When does it start? 11 am

What’s happening? According to Peachdrop.com, “Festivities will continue well into the New Year with a variety of live performances, followed by the descent of the 800 pound Peach and a spectacular firework display!” Headliners this year will be Sugar Ray and Ludacris.

Cost to attend?  The event is free, but you’ll likely have to pay to park.

Dance Hall Decatur

Where? DeKalb History Center in the historic courthouse, located at 101 E. Court Square, Decatur, GA.

When does it start? 8:30 pm

What’s happening? “Come out and dance with us as a professional DJ plays hits from the 1970’s to the present … Festive dress is encouraged. Represent your favorite musical style or decade if you like, or just show up prepared to dance!”

When does it start? 10 pm

What’s happening? “Matt Weiner and Chris Daresta aka Pyramid Club are going to be DJing on New Years Eve at Victory Sandwich Bar! We are going to be playing only the best Electro New Wave Synthpop Hiphop Funk Records DKA style. Victory is an awesome bar and have tasty food and hard beverages. New Year’s Eve Party and New Year’s Day Brunch with The Bishop!

Where? The Bishop restaurant, located at 124 North Avondale Road, in Avondale Estates, GA

When does it start? 6 pm and 9 pm.

Where? Pallookaville, 17 North Avondale Plaza

When does it start? 8 pm

What’s happening? “The Pallookaville New Year’s Eve Kid’s Corndog Drop starts at 8 pm sharp, and the Fourth Ward Afro-Klezmer Orchestrastarts at 8:30 pm! The official Corndog Drop is at midnight. Full kitchen and bar until 1:30 am Pallookaville will stay open until 2 am if needed. Plus, come by starting at 2 pm New Year’s Day for specials, including traditional greens and peas.”
