A Decatur resident says there were multiple break-ins at the apartments located at 175 Olympic Place in Decatur on Tuesday afternoon.

The resident said burglars kicked in the back doors of four of the eight apartments, and took items from three of them. The burglars stopped after a neighbor, who works from home, heard them kicking in the fourth door.

Among the items reported stolen: three laptops, crystal objects, children’s toys and two guitars, one of which was signed as a “guest book” at the resident’s wedding.

Police officers arrived within minutes, but the suspects had left the area. The suspects were described as three black males, driving a newer model white Chrysler Sedan.
Decaturish has asked Decatur Police for additional information on this incident, and will update this story when it is received.
