Rep. Brockway found this when he returned to the state Capitol

Share

State Rep. Buzz Brockway, R-Lawrenceville, and other legislators returned to the state Capitol on Jan. 12.

Decaturish readers might remember Brockway as one of the members of a panel that settled a boundary dispute between the proposed cities of LaVista Hills and Tucker in December. But that process was messy and, at times, unpleasant. At one point, Brockway remarked, “We’d rather not be here. We’d rather not be in a position where have to draw this line.”

Being a state legislator can be a thankless task.

But perspective is a wonderful thing. Brockway said last week that he found this note in his desk on the House floor …

Krista's Note

Brockway said he doesn’t know how old the author of the note is or what grade she’s in, but he definitely appreciated the sentiment.

“Thanks for the nice note Krista,” he said after he posted his note to his Facebook page.

Sometimes you’ve got to appreciate the little things.
