Police responded to an armed robbery on East College Avenue at Sams Crossing, near the Avondale Estates/Decatur border Wednesday night.

According to an email sent out by the city of Avondale Estates, officers said the victim reported two people held him up at gunpoint and took his wallet around 10:40 p.m. He was on his way to the MARTA Station.

The perpetrators were described as wearing black clothing and black ski masks. However, the report said a gun was never seen, so the victim couldn’t identify it.

The victim wasn’t hurt, and the suspects got away on foot.
