Reminder: The Touch a Truck community event will be Saturday, March 7th. The city and DeKalb County will display dump trucks, fire trucks, police cars, and even tractors for children to see up close.

In the spirit of wheel appreciation, the city is also encouraging people to ride their bikes to Touch a Truck. It’s being held at the Callaway Building Parking lot at 120 West Trinity Place in Decatur from 10 am to 1 pm.

Be Active Decatur is asking attendees to bring a canned good or non-perishable food item for National Nutrition Month. All donations will go to Decatur Emergency Assistance Ministry. For more information, contact Cheryl Burnette at cheryl.burnette@decaturga.com.

The Decatur Police Department will also be conducting bicycle registration at this Saturday’s event.
