It’s been a year since the Seen Gallery vacated the space at 415 Church Street.

Now the former art gallery is finally getting a new tenant: a fitness studio called Pure Barre.

It will be the second franchise location for the company’s owners, Ashley Goot and Katy Bayless Gibson, who currently have a studio in the Virginia Highland neighborhood, which opened in December 2013.

Goot expects to open sometime in April.

“We really wanted to be in or near the Decatur Square,” she said. “We just think that’s a great area of Decatur. There’s great walking traffic around there. We were really drawn to that space. We’re excited to be a part of the Decatur Square community. It’s got a great vibe.”

Goot said the studio will offer workouts based around a ballet barre. The classes will be 55 minutes long, with a maximum of 25 students in each group.

She said the barre workout will, “Tone and define muscles, and results in long lean muscles for women and men.”

She said there already are some clients of the Virginia Highland studio who live in Decatur.

“We have a lot of existing clients that live in Decatur who are definitely interested,” she said.
