The Avondale Estates City Commission will hold its regular meeting on Monday, June 22, at 7:30 pm at City Hall, located at 21 North Avondale Plaza.

All meetings are open to the public.

Unlike previous commission meetings, no agenda has been posted for tonight’s regular meeting. There is an agenda for a public hearing on the city’s millage rate, which will be held before the regular meeting convenes.

The city did post an agenda for its regular work session last week, but did not post the agenda packet as it has done in the past. It’s unclear which items from the work session agenda will be on the agenda for the June 22 meeting.

City Manager Clai Brown has told Decaturish the city will resume posting these items. The city has been short staffed since City Clerk Juliette Sims-Owens abruptly resigned.

At the last meeting, commissioners discussed the possibility of granting an easement former mayor Ed Rieker so he can construct a boardwalk next to his commercial property downtown. For a recap of that meeting, click here.
