The Big Pop Up!, described as Decatur’s “Biggest Little Festival,” is back Thursday night, June 11, for the fourth year in a row.

The free event includes music, art, beer, and food trucks. It runs from 6 to 9 p.m. in East Decatur Station on East College Avenue.

A press release says, “The Big Pop Up! has grown to resemble a scaled-down, shorter version of the Decatur Arts Festival. Visitors can once again expect a nice variety of local art, crafts, jewelry and live music.”

Three Taverns Brewery, the Marlay food truck, and Decatur’s Makan will take part. You may also get to meet some cute pups up for adoption since new neighbor iWag/Life is Labs will be there.

The Big Pop Up! Facebook page says there will be music by Free After Three, Black Sheep Ensemble, and P Jazz.

Decatur’s VINSONart is presenting an exhibition of paintings and drawings by artist Ruth Franklin inside the Three Taverns Craft Brewery during the festival as well.

The art dealer’s website describes her as a British artist who has been based in Decatur since 1994. She was voted “Best Established Visual Artist” in Atlanta by Creative Loafing readers last year.
