A biopic about the founder of McDonald’s fast food restaurants will be filming in Avondale Estates this month.

The city reports it has issued a film permit and will redirect traffic on June 17 and 18 to accommodate the filming of “The Founder.”

The City of Avondale Estates describes it as, “A 1950’s to 1960’s period film about McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc.”

“Working trucks will be parked along Kingstone Road, between Clarendon Avenue and Lakeshore Drive,” the city’s notice says. “Off-duty police officers will assist with intermittent traffic control by the filming location of 28 Lakeshore Drive beginning the morning of June 17. Traffic will be open to one lane. Later on June 17 and on June 18, by the filming location of 40 Clarendon Avenue, intermittent traffic control will occur at two intersections: Kingstone Road and Clarendon Avenue, and Kingstone Road and Berkeley Road.”

The city says, “Set preparation runs this Wednesday through next Tuesday, June 10-16.”
