The Medlock Area Neighborhood Association met with representatives from Walmart and shared some more details about the project slated for Suburban Plaza.

According to Theresa Same, with MANA, the store is expected to open in November of 2015 and employ 300 people. The hours will be 6 a.m. to midnight. “Walmart reserves the right to open 24 hours/day,” Same reported.

She also provided information about trucks that will be unloading merchandise at the store.

“Trucks servicing Walmart will enter from North Decatur Rd. at the new traffic signal, proceed to the back of the building and on to the loading docks there,” Same reported. “The trucks can back directly into the loading docks. Trucks will exit onto Medlock Road, and proceed to Scott Blvd. We should expect three to five trucks per day.”
