The Georgia Department of Transportation warns drivers that there will be temporary lane closures on Clairmont Road this week due to some work on the rail line.

“Weather permitting, three lanes will close on SR 155/ Clairmont Road to allow CSX Railroad to change the cross ties on the railroad overpass,” GDOT says.

The work will occur Wednesday, Sept. 2, and Thursday, Sept. 3, from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The closures will affect Clairmont Road from Desmond Drive to Starvine Way, GDOT says.

“The lane closures will require a traffic shift and are likely to result in delays,” the announcement from GDOT says. “Motorists are advised to exercise caution while driving in the area.”
