The Bishop restaurant in Avondale Estates has announced it will close for good on Nov. 29 after more than a year in business.

The restaurant is owned by Luellen Marshall, who has worked more than 20 years in the restaurant business and hospitality industry. She’s worked at Village Tavern, TGI Fridays International and Ruth’s Chris.

The Bishop made the announcement via the city of Avondale Estates email list:

The Bishop Set to Close its Doors on Sunday, Nov. 29

November is the month to give thanks and it is in this spirit that owners, Marcus and Luellen Marshall, would like to thank members of the Avondale Estates community for supporting their restaurant. Luellen said, “It is truly been our honor and pleasure serving our neighbors and friends. The Bishop will be closing permanently on Sunday, Nov. 29. We hope that you will come by and see some friends, have a cocktail and bid us farewell. Thank you for your support.”
