Avondale Estates Police warned residents about suspicious activity that occurred on the afternoon of Nov. 29.

According to an alert from the police department, officers responded to a call about a suspicious person and vehicle in the 1000 block of Clarendon Avenue. An air conditioning unit had been stolen from the back of the home. The home is unoccupied and currently for sale.

“It was reported by a possible witness that two vehicles had been seen in the driveway,” the alert from the Police Department says. “Both vehicles were described as being automobiles, dark colored and possibly a Chevrolet Impala, partial tag CCI. Only description given of the suspects was that one was a female, nothing further.”

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Sgt. Lynn Thomas at (404) 294-5400, ext. 5410.
