Decatur High will be closed on Friday, Dec. 18, due to a “plumbing issue,” according to City Schools of Decatur.

All other CSD schools will be open and operating as usual, a message to parents says.

The plumbing issue caused the school to send students home early on Thursday, Dec. 17, at 12:45 p.m..

A message sent Thursday evening says, “Due to continued plumbing issues at Decatur High School, school is cancelled for Decatur High School students tomorrow, Dec.18, 2015. Decatur High School staff will report for work at their regular time.”

The Frasier Center operates on a different sewer line and will remain open, CSD says.

“If students left anything at DHS that they need for the holiday break, they may come to the attendance office between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.,” the message from CSD says. “When we return from the holiday break, staff will work with students to make-up any missed exams.”
