The county has successfully repaired a water main break on Superior Avenue after four days of work that caused service interruptions for residents.

“DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management’s crews and contractors have repaired the 14-inch water main break at Superior Avenue and Willow Lane,” a press release from the county says. “Water service to residents in the area had been interrupted during the repairs this morning, but service has been fully restored. It is suggested that homeowners allow the water to run in their homes for a few minutes to rid the line of air and water discoloration.”

According to the county, the break occurred at 7 p.m. on Dec. 28. Readers say the break caused water pressure issues all the way to Emory Commons.
