An Avondale Estates home will be featured on a new HGTV program called “Wise Buys.”

An email from the city said the pilot episode features a home on Wiltshire Drive.

“The home was renovated by local home remodeling company Green House Renovation owned by resident Tom Colquitt,” the email said. “The City congratulates the team at Green House Renovation for being featured on the show. Tune in tomorrow or Sunday and find out what other parts of the City are featured in the episode!”

The episode is set to air Thursday, Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. and Sunday, Jan. 31 at 12 p.m., according to the city.

A description of “Wise Buys” on HGTV’s website says:

Contractor Chip Wade and his realtor wife, Pauli, are using their expert knowledge to help other couples learn the ins and outs of home buying and renovation. In each episode, Pauli will choose 3-4 houses that fit the criteria of their clients but will also showcase great strategies for getting an excellent deal. From a house that’s been on the market too long, to one in need of an addition, or a failed builder’s project half-finished, Chip and Pauli will teach their clients not to judge a book by its cover, and help them make a deal that could change their lives.

The first episode is called “Newlyweds.” A description of it says, “Connor and Katie are about to get married and live together for the first time. Chip and Pauli help them buy a bargain and renovate it into the perfect place to begin married life and keep the honeymoon going.”
