“Upon arrival and initial investigation, it was determined that two black males had entered the business, displayed a firearm and demanded money from the cash register. After receiving the cash, the subjects fled on foot, westbound on East College Avenue.”

Police described the suspects as:

2 young black males, possibly in their late teens.
Both subjects were wearing “hoodies,” one black – the other gray.

There were no injuries. Anyone having information about the incident is asked to call Sgt. Lynn Thomas (404-391-5628) or Cpl. Tom Gillis (404-391-4526).

The Waffle House chain got its start in 1955, right down the road in Avondale Estates. It’s now a Waffle House Museum, open a few days a week for tours.
