Jeep stolen in Avondale Estates

Police in Avondale Estates responded to a vehicle theft Wednesday.

A city email said a resident on Hampshire Court found their 1997 white Jeep Cherokee was gone. It happened between 7 p.m. on Tuesday and 1:45 p.m. Wednesday. The tag number is BAU 1526.

The city email said,”At the time of the report, there were no known suspects or other vehicle descriptions.”

On January 13, 2016, at approximately 2 p.m., an Avondale Estates Police Department unit was dispatched to a residence on Hampshire Court in reference to a motor vehicle theft. Upon arrival and initial investigation, it was determined that unknown persons stole the following described vehicle:

1997 Jeep Cherokee
White in color
GA Tag: BAU 1526

The time of the incident was determined to be between January 12, at 7 p.m. and January 13, at 1:45 p.m.
