Glad you asked.

“Construction on the I-75 Express Lanes and I-285 will require lane closures, which, in turn, are likely to result in delays,” the Georgia Department of Transportation says. “Motorists are advised to exercise caution by reducing speed while driving through work zones.”

Here’s the list of projects scheduled for this weekend, provided by GDOT:

Northwest Corridor Express Lanes

– On I-75, two northbound lanes will close between SR 280/Delk Road and Windy Hill Road nightly from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday

– On I-75, one northbound and two southbound lanes will close over I-285 between Windy Hill Road and Cumberland Parkway from 10 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday

– On I-75, one lane will close on the southbound on-ramp from SR 280/Delk Road from 9:30 a.m., until 4 p.m., Saturday

– On I-575, a traffic shift will take place on the northbound lanes between SR 92/Alabama Road and Ridgewalk Parkway from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Sunday

– On I-575, a traffic shift will take place on the northbound lanes between Ridgewalk Parkway and Sixes Road from 9 p.m., Sunday until 5 a.m., Monday

– A traffic pace will take place on the I-285 eastbound collector-distributer lanes from Cobb Parkway to the I-75 interchange. The traffic pace will take place from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday. The traffic pace will require motorists to drive 5 mph -10 mph to allow contractors to work across the interstate lanes.

– A flagging operation will take place on Bells Ferry Road under I-75 from 9:30 a.m., until 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday

– On Frey Road, two lanes will close (one lane in each direction) under I-75 from 7 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday

South Metro Express Lanes

– On I-75, one northbound and southbound lane and shoulder will close between SR 138 and Mt. Zion Boulevard from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., for the northbound lane and 9 p.m., Friday until 7 a.m., Monday for the southbound lane

– On I-75, one northbound lane and one southbound lane will close between Jodeco Road and Hudson Bridge Road  continuously from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday for the northbound lane and 9 p.m., Friday until 7 a.m., Monday for the southbound lane

–  On I-75, a traffic pace will take place on the southbound lanes between the I-675 interchange to Hudson Road Bridge. The traffic pace will require motorists to drive 5 mph -10 mph to allow contractors to work across the interstate lanes. The Hudson Bridge Road on-ramp will be blocked during the traffic pace. The traffic pace will take place anytime between 9 p.m., Friday until  7 a.m., Monday

I-285

– Two lanes will close on the I-285 westbound ramp to I-85 northbound for concrete rehabilitation. Traffic will be detoured to the Pleasantdale Road exit and traffic will merge onto I-85 northbound. Law enforcement will direct traffic as needed on the Pleasantdale Road collector-distributer lane. The closure will take place from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday

– Two northbound lanes will close between SR 8/US 278/Hollowell Parkway and SR 280/ South Cobb Drive from 6 a.m., until 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday for concrete rehabilitation

– Two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane will close between SR 260/ Glenwood Road and the I-20 interchange from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday for sign structure work

I-20

– One eastbound lane and the shoulder will close between SR 70/Fulton Industrial Boulevard and the I-285 interchange from 9 p.m., Friday until 7 p.m., Sunday

– Two eastbound lanes will close between SR 139/ Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard from  10 p.m., Friday until 7 p.m., Sunday

I-75

– Sign structure work will require one northbound and two southbound lane closures between Windy Hill Road and SR 280/Delk Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 9 p.m., Saturday;

– Rolling closures will take place between the I-675 interchange and Cumberland Boulevard to install RPMs. The closures will take place from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Sunday. Installing RPMs on the interstate is a slow moving operation; therefore, Georgia DOT contractors will subsequently slow down traffic traveling on I-75 to complete their work. Motorists should expect multiple lane closures at a time and slow down while driving through the work zone.

State Routes

– One lane will close on SR 237/ Piedmont Road at its intersection with Habersham Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday
