Weather permitting, the Georgia Department of Transportation will continue work on the I-75 express lanes and on I-285. The work will require lane closures and will create delays.

Here is the full list of projects, provided by GDOT:

– On I-75, two northbound lanes will close between Windy Hill Road and SR 280/Delk Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday.

– On I-75, two southbound lanes will close between SR 280/Delk Road and Windy Hill Road from 9 p.m., Sunday until 5 a.m., Monday.

– On I-75, all northbound and southbound lanes will narrow over the I-285 eastbound collector-distributor lanes between Cumberland Boulevard and the I-285 interchange from9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday.

– On I-75, a traffic pace will occur on all southbound lanes between SR 120 Loop/ South Marietta Parkway and Windy Hill Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday. The traffic pace will require motorists to drive 5 mph -10 mph to allow contractors to work across the interstate lanes.

– One lane will close on the I-285 westbound ramp to I-75 northbound from 9 p.m.,Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday and from 9 p.m., Sunday until 5 a.m., Monday.

– On I-285, traffic traveling on the eastbound collector-distributer lane to I-75 northbound will be directed to take the I-75 southbound exit ramp (Exit 20) to Cumberland Boulevard. Traffic will then be directed to turn left on Cumberland Boulevard followed by another left to then enter I-75 Northbound via the ramp from Cumberland Boulevard. The I-75 southbound ramp to I-285 eastbound Collector Lanes (Exit-259A) will also be closed, and traffic will need to take the primary ramp (Exit-259) to access I-285 eastbound from I-75 southbound. The detour will take place nightly from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday.

– On I-285, a traffic pace will occur on the eastbound collector-distributer lanes from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday.

South Metro Express Lanes

– On I-75, one northbound and one southbound lane and shoulder will close between the I-675 interchange and Mt. Zion Boulevard from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Mondayfor the northbound lane and from 9 p.m., Friday until 7 a.m., Monday for the southbound lane.

I-75

– One southbound lane will close between SR 280/Delk Road and SR 120 Loop/ South Marietta Parkway from 9 p.m., Friday until 4 p.m., Saturday.

– Rolling closures will take place on the northbound and southbound lanes between SR 138 and Cumberland Boulevard. The closures will take place from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday to allow crews to install road pavement markers (RPM). Installing RPMs on the interstate is a slow moving operation; therefore, Georgia DOT contractors will subsequently slow down traffic traveling on I-75 to complete their work. Motorists should expect multiple lane closures at a time and slow down while driving through the work zone.

I-285

– A traffic pace will take place on all Georgia (State Route) 400 northbound and southbound lanes between Mansell Road and Haynes Bridge Road from 7 a.m., until 8 a.m., Sunday. The traffic pace will require motorists to drive 5 mph -10 mph to allow contractors to work across the interstate lanes.
